After weeks of wasting time with so-called expert watch repair jewelers, I tried a different approach to resolve my problem. I put my question to an on-line ask-me club. I was a little skeptical at first but figured at this point I had nothing to lose-best decision I ever made. Within 8 days of sending out my watch, it returned like new-capacitor and crystal were replaced, band cleaned and watch was back in my hands for a very reasonable fee.
