On the older Eco-Drive World Time watches (Calibre C605), the analog and digital portions of the watch work independently and are not synced like the newer Skyhawks. If the analog has stopped and the digital display is dim, it may be a capacitor problem. However, if the digital display is bright and the analog has stopped, it is likely a mechanical problem. We can repair this problem, but it is typically twice as expensive as a capacitor replacement.

Monday, December 7th, 2009If the watch shows no life at all, the first thing you should try to do is recharge the watch in bright light. Some Eco-Drives can take over 60 hours to fully charge. Make sure you do not try to charge it where it will get really hot. Heat can severely damage the watch. If it does not show any life at all after being charged, or if it will run in the light, but stops or double ticks out of the light, it likely needs a new capacitor. We specialize in this repair.
